Using ideal note

ideal note is for keeping your own notes. What you record is your responsibility, including following whatever the law where you live says about recording other people.

Your notes are yours

The recordings and notes you make belong to you. They live on your device. We claim no rights over them and have no way to read them.

Transcription isn’t perfect

Speech recognition mishears things. Summaries are written by a language model and can be wrong or leave things out. Treat them as a convenience rather than a record. The original recording is always kept, so you can check what was actually said.

Not professional advice

Nothing in the app is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and none of it replaces a professional.

Keep your own backups

Your notes live only on this device. Deleting the app, losing the phone or resetting it will lose them. Use an encrypted device backup if they matter to you.

Subscription

The first 250 recordings are free. Recording beyond that needs a monthly subscription, which renews until you cancel. Your notes stay readable and searchable either way. Cancel any time in Settings, under your Apple Account.

No warranty

ideal note is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for loss arising from using it, including lost recordings or notes.

Changes

These terms may change with future versions of the app. Using ideal note after an update means accepting the terms as they stand then.
